In addition to Tuesday’s Tying for everyone workshops, which are designed for everyone, you can also look forward to Experienced Thursdays. Compared to Tuesdays, they are designed for more advanced participants, so read the required level carefully.
A workshop exploring the subtle
(and not-so-subtle) dialogue between how we tie, why we tie, and what is actually felt in the body. We will move between the worlds of aibunawa often translated as “caressing rope”, and semenawa commonly framed as “tormenting rope.” But these poetic translations are misleading if taken too literally. Rope does not caress or torment. We do.
What transforms a touch into comfort or challenge is intention—the narrative we carry into the moment. The same structure, the same tension, even the same rope, can land as grounding or overwhelming depending on what we build around it: our thoughts, our emotions, the way our hands move, and the way the body receives.
In this workshop, we’ll explore:
- How intention influences perception for both sides of rope
- How to consciously shift between different “tones” of rope without changing the structure itself
- The feedback loop between mind, body, and rope
We will also challenge a common misconception: that tighter automatically means harder, harsher, or more intense. In reality, thoughtful tension can create clarity, stability, and even safety. This is not about learning more patterns—it’s about learning how meaning emerges through them. Come curious. Leave with a deeper sense of how rope speaks—and how much of that voice is your own.
Required level: The workshop is suitable for those who can tie basic structures and suspension lines for example from #2 Základy vázání or Základy kinbaku II.

- Ropes – six to eight ropes. Suitable length is 7,5-8 meters. There will be ropes to buy on spot. If you are not sure which are suitable and how much are they, you can visit our rope eshop www.provazem.cz or send us a message.
- Optionally anything – props or clothing that you use regularly during your D/s games.
- Comfortable clothes.
- Recommended to bring a blanket or other cover for our futons.

Door will be open at 19:45. We recommend to come early so the workshop can start on time.
Workshop is taking place in Prague near Anděl in our beautiful studio, exact address will be sent to you by mail after confirmation of your registration. There are futons, no need for a mat. No shoes in main room.
It is necessary to register in advance, places are limited. You can find a registration form below. Price is per person. Please register exact number of places (i.e. for a couple choose 2 places). You need to attend with a partner.
